This Saturday 10th May, one of our regular Monthly Hires takes place, Stafford Farmers Market.

Legend states that Stafford was founded in approximately 700 AD by a Mercian prince called Bertelin who established a hermitage on a secluded marshy island.
Some two hundred years after St Bertelin, in 913 AD, Aethelflaed, daughter of King Alfred the Great, established the Burh of Stafford.
The town was chartered in 1206 and from there, grew as a market town. Stafford is on road and rail routes linking London, Birmingham, and Manchester.
Selling a great range of fresh local produce, Stafford Farmers Market welcomes local shoppers and visitors into the heart of Stafford every second Saturday of the Month, excluding January.
Located within Stafford’s Market Square, famous for its historical buildings including the 18th century Shire Hall Gallery, the Farmers Market is a great place to buy fresh and local produce, as well as supporting local businesses. Stalls can include, fresh meat, bread, cakes, jam, preserves, jewellery and fruit and vegetables.
