Q. How do I make an enquiry?

A. If you have an enquiry regarding one of our markets or wish to discuss becoming a trader or booking a stall please email info@bescotpromotions.co.uk or call Spencer: 07875 655 875 or Scott: 07792 676 746 or alternatively please complete the Trader Registration Form 

Q. What are the requirements to become a trader?

A: You must complete the Traders Registration Form. Have current Public Liability Insurance. Stock to sell. Once forms have been received all documentation will be checked and if approved, we will be in touch to discuss stall and market availability. If you would like to discuss your application please feel free to get in touch as we are more than happy to answer any additional questions you might have. 
If selling or handling food then you will need to speak to one of the team for further details as additional certificates and registration forms will be required.

Q. What is the cost to trade at one of the markets?

A. Prices start from £25.00 which includes a table; however, this varies from market to market so please contact us by email info@bescotpromotions.co.uk or call Spencer: 07875 655 875 or Scott: 07792 676 746

Q. Can we bring our own stalls?

A. Own stalls can be used at Bescot Market Only.

Q. What time should traders arrive on market day?

A. Arrival times at the markets are 7:30am or earlier. Traders need to be set up and ready to trade for 9:00am. Latecomers run the risk of not being able to trade that day.

Q. Can we just turn up on the day?

A. No, you must have completed a Trader’s Registration Form and email it to info@bescotpromotions.co.uk On approval we will send over market day information and payment details. 

Q. Are there any rules or regulations that I need to adhere to?

Q. How can I access my stall to unload my stock or take deliveries?

A. On all markets, you will be shown to your stall/pitch which you can drive up to unload/load and in some cases park behind for the day. Where you cannot park behind your stall you will be shown to the nearest car park.

Q. What will the open market organisers provide for stallholders?

A. We provide a market that has been well advertised and that is run correctly and to a high standard. We also provide canopies/stalls complete with Top Covers, Tables and Side Sheets depending on what has been prebooked by the trader. For your Canopy/Stall all you will need is a tablecloth, your stock and anything else you require to make your display stand out, for example, signs, price tags, bunting, pictures etc.

Q. How far can I book a stall in advance?

A. You can book as far in advance as you want but we reserve the right to charge a holding fee if more than 3 months forward notice

Q. Can I choose my stall location?

A. You can request a certain location and we will do our very best to situate you as close to the requested area as possible.

Q. Can I play music on my stall or use a microphone?

A. It depends on which market, as some markets we do not allow music and microphones so please check prior to setting up. You will also be required to have the necessary music license.

Q. Are there any restrictions on what I can sell?

A. We are a family-friendly professionally run market event managing organisation, so safety is paramount, and this applies to all items, if they are new, safe, legal products then they are allowed. No drug paraphernalia, rude or offensive items, or any fake goods. Branded goods must be genuine.

Q. Do I need a license to trade?

A. No, you are covered by our trading license

Q. Do I need public liability insurance?

A. All traders must have public liability insurance cover up to 5 million.

Q. What clothes should I wear when trading?

A. To remain comfortable in all weather, we advise our stallholders to wear tidy, suitable clothing and footwear. Also, consider taking along a precautionary selection of bad weather clothing.

Q. Are there electrics on the stall?

A. Not all markets have electricity so you would need to contact us first to discuss your own requirements and which markets you planned to trade from.

Q. Does the market remain open when it is raining, snowing, in severe windy or bad weather?

A. Our markets are open all year round come rain or shine, however, if the weather poses a risk to stallholders, members of the public, or to our staff then we reserve the right to close the market in the interest of health and safety. Our social media sites will always be updated to advertise any change in arranged markets/events.

Q. Where should I park?

A. Where parking behind your stall is unavailable, you will be shown to the nearest car park.
