Tamworth’s open-air street market is a tradition dating back to the earliest days of the town’s history, is the heart of the community, drawing locals and visitors alike with its offerings and atmosphere.

Tamworth Market has been granted charters to hold markets dating back over 1,000 years to Anglo-Saxon times. The market currently operates on Tuesdays and Saturdays in George Street, Market Street and St Editha’s Square.
